I am of the view that the right cannot be waived, because: 1. The rationale for the right of immunity is to avoid clogs in the wheel of governance; such that a Governor is not occupied with having to defend charges, to the detriment of his duties. 2. Sequel to point 1 above, ..

A "morality clause" would see an Athlete financially penalised if found involved in wrongdoing that may bring disrepute to the brand of the sponsoring company. Alternatively, It may be stated as a form of reward (bonus) which the athlete gets if he/she is NOT found involved ...
