Here’s my answer to any and all such phone calls: “put it in writing and send me a letter”.

They do not “still phone you”. They call thousands of people including you with no information whatsoever. They hope twenty (say) per thousand go to people who have had an accident. And 1 in those 20 is gullible enough to go through with a claim.

I had a call that persisted despite me saying I had no such accident. They said injured party didn’t want to pursue claim but “problem” was other side’s insurer had set aside the money so it was there for the taking. All I’d to do was *say* I’d been injured & it could be mine...

I’m not convinced your insurer or anyone passed on your details. They relied on “throw enough mud to see if it sticks”. Call randomly & were lucky you recently had an accident. All fraudsters. Some want to get your details to pass on to dodgy claims firms. Some advanced fee fraud

They don’t care at all about threats of recording as they call from far outside any UK jurisdiction.

We once had a customer showcase at CRMUG UK with a CRM 4.0 system being shown (2011 was already out more than a year). IIRC 120+ custom entities. ALL had the default gear icon.

Picklist (option set) on Lead with >20 options (instead of a lookup), 5 of which are labelled “Do not use”. And same list on Account with 3 extra options, 2 missing ones, 7 with same name but different value, 3 overlapping (Facebook, Twitter, Social Media). And no-one knows why!

Did you know the head of the Vegan Association also runs the Vegetarian Society? Really tough that they have to work two jobs just to make meats end.

Yes, the new solution manager is lightening fast but it doesn't yet allow you to add entities without their subcomponents. Using the classic solution manager to do this is frustratingly slow - so why not use PowerShell?…

Can I advise you, if you haven’t already done so, to register to vote? There’s going to be a referendum or general election soon, and you’ll only kick yourself if you don’t.

I have been working on a project that sends emails from CRM as other CRM users. There are multiple steps for getting this set up. Make sure you don't miss any the next time you have a similar requirement.

Meet Knickers, Australia’s biggest steer! He’s 194cm tall, weighs 1.4t and has been saved from the abattoir because he simply won’t fit through the doors. 🐄

I understand your concern but all filming and excavation done under the watchful eye of the Egyptian archaeological authorities and only after permissions granted. All finds go straight to Cairo museum before they’ve left the site. Everything properly scrutinised and recorded.
