Oh yeah BTS for definite. But this has more to do with JJ and the mystery box approach. Consider how little we knew about TFA. We had one announcement trailer for practically a year.

Plus the whole Marvel vs. Star Wars (ie. Marvel is kicking Star Wars's ass) thing that sections of both fanbases are pushing makes absolutely no sense since they're both Disney subsidiaries.

Conversely Star Wars is a much more event-based transmedia experience. There are major films that come out 1 - 3 years, which support a narrative told through comics, books, and now a theme park
