I've got nothing but love for , and I can't stress enough how badass it is that when it would have been completely justified for him to crawl under a rock and tune the world out he decided to become a vocal advocate for mental health.

I did no such thing. Octopuses are NOT full of bones (though I did learn this week that some species have skull-like masses of cartilage near the eyes)

Look man, I like this caption? But it's also roughly 1000x less insulting than I was ready for. Threw me off, ya dig?

I don't think labeling something a wizard proves that it is a wizard. For instance, I could label a picture of you "stevedore," but that wouldn't make you a stevedore.

Look, man- I'm trying here. Really. Trying to just share how awesome a blanket octopus is. It doesn't have to be a scarf or a wizard in flight to be super cool. It can just be super cool on its own.

No no no- the one on the left is a different individual blanket octopus than I posted before, and the one on the right is just a scarf. There are no wizards. Wizards aren't real.

I don't think it's chock full of hard bones. I think it's an octopus, which has no bones, and isn't a scarf. Here's a picture of the two side by side, which ought to clear up any confusion.

No no no, that's not it. First off, this is a squid ON a scarf, not a squid that is NOT a scarf. Secondly, squids are not octopods. They're decapods. The blanket octopus has eight arms and zero tentacles, not eight arms and two tentacles.

No, that's not it. I'm not saying the octopus isn't a scarf and IS a blanket. I'm saying that it isn't a scarf and IS a blanket octopus.

This is a tough one for me, because a blanket octopus doesn't have bones, but also isn't a scarf. So, I agree with your conclusion that it isn't a scarf, but not with your reason for arriving at that conclusion.

Please don't encourage him. He may catch his death of cold mistaking a non-scarf for a scarf.
