Reminds me of when I procrastinated on school projects and had to slap the end together just to get it in before the deadline.

Wow. That ending was absolutely terrible. Like really, really bad. Not sure how you make 70-odd incredible television episodes and then end with that.

They’re punting it down the road, but this does not settle the issue. I have never seen a city council generate as much needless outcry so early in their tenure as the current Victoria council. It’s like they’re trying to make people upset at them.

BC drivers are being taken for a ride by politicians who are hosing them at the gas pumps. Motorists in Metro will be paying 54 cents in taxes per litre of gas this summer. It’s one of the reasons why we’ve got highest gas prices in North America

So the punishment for misusing (AKA stealing) taxpayer's money is... retirement? Am I missing something?

With all respect, I live and grew up on the island and have travelled across the country. The median income isn't much higher here and the cost of living is a lot higher. Most of the cities outside Victoria are resource-based as well. Canada is Canada.

Well-off people living a privileged life? Try everyday Canadians who are just trying to make ends meet.

Cost of living (especially on the island) is going up again... Note: I actually don't blame for this; I blame the provincial government that has allowed and contributed to fuel costs soaring out of control.

Victoria now has the highest inflation rate (2.7%) in all of Canada while Vancouver is a close second. It's hard to enjoy the beauty of this province when you can't afford to live here.

They raised taxes (including the carbon tax) four times in the past 2 years... now over 50/cents a litre in taxes.

And it harms everyone, because it makes climate solutions look like war crimes, ensuring nothing will be done and everything will fall apart. I wish I knew why they would throw it all away... personal gain (political, financial, etc) is all I can imagine. Why else?

It’s the same thing with LNG, by the way. Displacing coal power in China will result in net reductions in CO2. That’s how the US reduced output by 800-million tones of CO2 in just a decade. There’s a new denialism forming, and it deceives to exaggerate instead of downplay...

This guy's ideological crusade never ends. First it was John A. Macdonald, then Canadian veterans and now... Victoria's horses? Leave the animals (& our traditions) alone.
