White Shark 'Salty' is back! He's one of our longest tracked sharks having been tagged 6 yrs ago. He was named 'Salty' after the Cape Cod Salties Sportfishing Club who generously donated the $ to buy his tag. It been almost 2 yrs to the day since we last saw him. 🦈

We tagged a white shark! Last week Heather Bowlby, a shark researcher at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography, successfully tagged a white shark off Southwest Nova Scotia. This is the first time this has been done in Atlantic Canadian waters.

We've had a large number of videos, photos and reports come in this season of white sharks grabbing fish off fishermen's lines on the outer Cape and Cape Cod Bay. The number of white sharks off the coast of MA remains high in September and October. (1/2)
