PSA: Just because Deep Blue was seen at a certain site recently doesn't mean that every large female white shark seen at that site is Deep Blue. Great white sharks have unique counter-shading patterns that can be used to identify distinct individuals.

Some 'BIG' white shark news out of Hawaii. Deep Blue, who was documented at Guadalupe in 1999 and 2013 and is believed to be one of the largest white sharks ever caught on film, was seen feeding on a sperm whale carcass off Oahu on Sunday. Was able to confirm the ID this morning.
