Teaching an unregulated FTACC today for Police (MOD 2 FALP) for there is a commercial RQF version as an alternative to EFAW and FAW that is far superior and the only real alternative

Love this approach - it’s what I and others have been saying your some time. 999 isn’t always the answer!

Running a Police Firearms refresher course for group today. The level of trauma care displayed by the Guys and Girls In a non permissive environment is off the scale. An absolute pleasure to teach and see the skill retention 👌🏽👌🏽

Today I met with to discuss clinically recognising medical skills of Reservists who work within policing. Was so impressed with their can do attitude. Not dismissive at all and even though it may not possible they're up for the challenge. 👍

Really pleased to see the advances in casualty care and improved capability. We are all working together for the patient and more trained hands the easier it is to manage a casualty. You should change where it says O ‘squared’ for oxygen each time on that form though.

Think it’s important for the pre-hospital professionals to understand what can do prior to their arrival and our capability to assist them once they’re there

Assisted by and I’m trying to get a explanatory poster in each of our local larger ambulance stations and ED CPD boards as a starter for ten, and have delivered some inputs at Senior Paramedic training days.

It’s a fairly consistent set-up for Mod 5 trained across the NW , yet we still need to spread the word to our ambulance service colleagues so they understand our kit and skillset.
