I use xcode just for iOS app development and C/Objective C projects. For everything else, even for tweak development, I use atom. Atom has linter packages for most languages. I’m sure other editors have similar features as well.

While this will work for most tweaks, some tweaks need ancient SDKs and toolchains to compile properly. System Info won’t work on jzfs processors if compiled with newer sdks and toolchains. I believe that’s the case for preferenceloader, activator etc as well.

From what I know, it won’t just be biometrics but all security/encryption you get from SEP. It’s only a matter of time until the very talented minds in the community figures a way around. (Also, you dont lose it FORVERVER. You can restore iOS)

This would be useful for people who want to experiment, build tweaks, test compatibility of software etc. Developers can get their tweaks ready by the time there's a good-enough public release. iOS 14 has a lot of new stuff. And a lot of new opportunities for tweaks/hacks.

System Info works on iOS 14. nvnonce will need an update (you can now ssh as root and use the nvram command to set boot-nonce on checkra1n)

Hacker culture: Not to be confused with Security hacker. The act of engaging in activities (such as programming or other media) in a spirit of playfulness and exploration is termed "hacking".

I was thinking the same as well. I'd be fine with it if I can move it to the left and make the app list the default view. The other view just feels like folders apple created for you. And not many people remember apps by their category but their name, icon and what they do.

Yes but if you're telling someone to "go download the XR ipsw and flash it", you can instead tell them to "just install the iOS 14 ipsw, it's actually signed". It's better than convincing someone to try an IPSW for a "different" device. I understand what you mean though.

Doesn’t list unsigned files too? So can just download it from the iphone 11 page itself.

Multi-cursor editing in Xcode is so satisfying I have to smile every time I get to use it. 1. Select the first instance of a common text fragment. 2. Hit ⌘⌥E (Select Next Occurrence) to select the same text in all lines you want to edit. 3. Use arrow keys to position cursor.
