Canon UK response to ransomware attack reports. “We are aware that Canon USA are experiencing system issues – an investigation is currently taking place. We can confirm however that this is unrelated to the data loss we experienced on earlier this week.”

Canon is reportedly the victim of a ransomware attack - rather than pay up or the kitten gets it, it's pay up or lots of private data gets dumped into the public domain, say the kidnappers. More here...
