Can we stop with the disappointment directed for the situation? It's *ridiculously* expensive & unsustainable. If you love your public library & the resources they provide, support them. Tell your reps to support them. FUND PUBLIC LIBRARIES.

I’ve been noticing a recent trend of people attacking and harassing artists because they don’t like their art. Consider this instead: go do something that doesn’t make you look like an ass.

Word of the : “write” - from the Old English wrītan, to score lines or letters into a durable surface, to incise a track or trace, itself from the Proto-Indo-European *wrey-, “to rip, tear, wear”. Good writing is hard, harrowing, wearing, resilient work.

Coordinates are the San Diego Convention Center so it seems safe to bet that there will be news on the next season of coming from Comic-Con in a few weeks.

I have always followed the old Chinese saying that roughly translates as “The apple that is pine should not upon a bed of crusting lay.”

Over the weekend I was able to get another update post on Reddit for Stormlight 4. Check it out using the link below. (TLDR: Part One is done, the book is looking good, and I'm modestly confident in a 2020 release.)

Being a grownup means I can have pie for breakfast if I want to. (Really, the biggest difference between this and a turnover is the shape.)

Word of the day: "circumambulation" -- the act of walking around a sacred object, building or point in a landscape (often a mountain), as a devotional act or part of a pilgrimage (Latin circum, around, ambulātus, to walk). In Sanskrit, parikrama; "the path surrounding something".

Word of the day: “verdancy” -- greenness, especially the greenness of plants & vegetation (possibly from Latin viridāre, “to make or become green”). Also, innocence of mind, freshness of appearance. “A Flourishing, Bright, or Lively Greenness” (Bailey, 1727). Send me greenness.
