The proposed increase on green card applications is 79%. citizenship application up by 83%, from $640 to $1,170. Plus they’re eliminating some of the waivers that low-income immigrants have to be able to file for citizenship, even if they can’t afford it
The fee hikes under consideration this year are historically high, according to one expert.

There are immigrants working in chicken farms, shit piss infested toxic 120 degrees chicken farms for $20-$30 a day, half of which if not most is taken to pay back the loan they took to her here in the first place. The rest goes to be packed 20 per trailer ( housing).

97% of USCIS budget comes from fees. They have been running in about $4 billion a year as operating budget since 2014. The volume of petitions per year tripled since. Guess where some of that money is being diverted to.

If you see any Maga tweet stating: why can’t these “illegals” just take the legal steps to get papers ? Your answer should be : $2000-$5000.

Now imagine if we took 10% of the cash DHS spends every year to lock up undocumented brown folks and their kids, and used it to waive fees to let the same brown folks freely apply to adjust their immigration status. One would think they d be less undocumented people to lock up.
