Red Watch are now in for our final night shift. Last night we attended a close call at a flat in Horfield, where a tray was left on an unattended gas hob. Fortunately, smoke alarms alerted occupants in a neighbouring property. Please take a minute to check yours!

Today we were given a tour of the Hitachi train depot in Stoke Gifford. Familiarisation visits such as this are a great platform for learning. Thanks to the engineers for showing us around 🚂

Today we attended several alarms, freed a child who had trapped his leg in his bicycle and helped manage a small chemical spillage in Bristol. Also nice meeting Lorenzo and mum - happy 4th birthday and thank you for the cake!

Busy start for us and this morning as we attended a house fire in Coombe Dingle. Fortunately, the occupants were safely out of the building before we arrived. Yet another example of the importance of early warning systems such as smoke alarms 🔥🚨
