What an to be invited to speak on the topic of Achieving Wellness at the American College of Surgeons Quality and Safety Conference. There were 2,300 attendees in the room this morning for our panel. It was a wonderful experience.

Nutrition education is sadly lacking in medical school. According to JAMA, medical students receive only 19 hrs of nutrition instruction over 4 years. Most of this time is devoted to vitamin deficiency states.
