The trigger for the shift in support of the bill follows new amendments that removed language that was worrying for consequences police officers would face for use-of-force.

Due to labor exploitation, people experiencing incarceration in CA's county jails do not earn a wage. Requiring a $3 copay each time they seek medical or dental care is unjust and undermines public health. Eliminating co-pays in CA's jails is the only just thing to do.

⬇️This thread shows why we continue to fight for minors to have the right to an attorney in the immigration process, esp. in removal proceedings. Asking children to face trained prosecutors in court on enormously complex immigration laws is unconstitutional & simply un-American.

When one employee in CA reported the sexual harassment she experienced, her boss told her that if she didn’t like sexual harassment, she should find another job. I’m perpetually inspired by our clients stepping up to tell McDonald’s .
