Iowa is now the only state to completely strip people of the right to vote after being convicted of a felony.
Voting is a RIGHT, not a privilege.
That’s why we’ve asked presidential candidates to commit to voting rights for ALL. kwwl.com/2020/02/01/dis…

It absolutely is a privilege. It's ridiculous to ask criminals who should be representing the masses.

Voting is a right, not a privilege.
And if people who have been convicted of felonies are denied their right to vote; there is an incentive for politicians to criminalize things that harm no one.

So is owning a firearm, but you're okay with felons not having them.

If they have paid their debt to society how can you take away their franchise? They are American citizens. Voting is a right not a privilege.

Sad state of affairs when owning a killing machine is a “right” but the ability to vote in a democratic society is a “privilege”

Maybe we should stop letting Iowa be the first state in the primary.

I Partially agree, I think once someone has served their time and been released from incarceration, all of their rights should be restored and they should be allowed to vote.
