Thanks Monty. As someone with a PhD in peatland ecology and carbon cycling, it's depressing to see these ecosystems being abused. Peat should be treated as a fossil fuel, and left in the ground.

It is worth repeating - although depressing that it should be necessary. If you love gardens and gardening and have one iota of responsibility for our ecology and environment DO NOT USE PEAT! It really is that simple.

This Christmas we'd appreciate a few more subscribers on our You Tube channel. If we can get over a 1000 in 2020 it would mean the world to us

Hi Londoner (I love that you use that as a synonym for 'clueless about hedges' 😅). Yes, hedgelaying works with the trees already in place. More info on the practice:

Sitting on your arse doing nothing, without lights on and not using Twitter. That's good 'for the environment'. Good for the social environment here too. Try it. 🤕👿

Mr Trudeau, you must know that the Australian government are putting millions of people in harm's way with their very poor climate policies. Will you pressure your "mate" Scott to back down & ?

None of those cars are "good for the environment." They're cars.

do you take into account environmental impact in the production and post-consumer life of these products, or any products for that matter?? a much better source of recommendations.

BS. "Everything that's good for the environment...costs so much more." Less consumption=best choice. Reusable nappies - buy once (often with council cadhback), wash, reuse, use on another baby when outgrown, compost at end of life. The real cost of fast, cheap, big is our ozone.
