Today the Board (wearing all blue) presented Orange County Social Services Agency with a proclamation designating April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. We must all continuously work together to raise awareness and put an end to child abuse.

This week I had a great time with County colleagues, including and Supervisor Doug Chaffee as we took the issues and concerns of our Orange County residents to Sacramento. We will continue to fight for more funding to solve homelessness.

This week, along with and County Department leaders took the concerns of Orange County to Washington, D.C. We met with OC Delegation members on Housing and Homelessness, gaining Port of Entry status for JWA, and responsible management of our flood control.

and I had the great privilege to present to large urban counties at in Washington DC on the system of care Orange County has created for those experiencing homelessness. Many of our initiatives and projects are a model for counties across the country.
