This is our country now. This is what it means to be disabled. PIP isn't even an out if work benefit. The fear of the application process is so nuch many are too terrified to apply. Or to be rejected & treated as a fraud. It's shit out there & it has to change.

Send them my way & I'll act as your agent. Once they hear the fee I'll charge for you, you can step in & offer a discount that cuts me out, because you're so passionate about the issue. They'll know what the industry standard is & jump at your offer. 😈

We mustn't get confrontational. I get the desire to clean up London's air, to encourage cycling & to make roads safer but it can't exclude Disabled people in the design of how our city achieves those goals. Collaboration has to be the way forward.

That sounds like you're starting a Blasphemous Rumour there Alan. I can't go to Naidex because TfA & IL have me working so hard. 😀

Very poor staff training. This is why door staff need equality training. Disabled people can be rowdy too. In my day I raised the roof both on the dancefloor & DJ booth. 😈

Sadly as the people being made to pay more for our journeys due to these changes it does impact on Disabled people. Which the courts rules only today was illegal. It's time to begin working together & not keeping up this hostile partisan way of pushing for better road use.

There's an army of Deaf & Disabled talent all busting a gut to be seen for roles. It's easy to buy the idea the industry isn't for us but we're there ready to show what we can do. Non Disabled actors playing Disabled roles means we don't get that chance.

The actors make it possible. They accept the roles. We could blame the others but it's like guns. You can blame the manufacturer or sellers but it's the person pulling the trigger who does the most harm.

I remember that too. A time when it was only the City of London that was tricky. I remember the change to the coloured local badges too but now if you remove the dedicated bays we're screwed.

In Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, South Camden & even Hackney the rules on where you can park are righter. No pay & display in places, no resident's in others. Some have no parking except in BB bays. So if they're also taken away there's nowhere left to park. ☹️

Does Manchester allow parking in pay & display or residents bays?

Cabs are no longer part of the Londonwide transport plan so are now just cars in many places. Means all vehicles are finding it hard to get around so if you rely on cars you're in trouble

I was meeting up with 2 people both of whom could never ride a cycle or walk so car is their only choice. Either their own or a black cab. With both being pushed out of London, it's getting grim in our capital atm.

In London most central boroughs stop parking in most places except BB bays so taking them out means huge areas of London become no go areas for Blue Badge holders. Which is discrimination. All councils have a PSED to ensure we aren't negatively impacted by policy. Fail.

I honestly think we need to begin actively hassling actors who take these roles. We blame directors & casting agents but if the actors weren't so self obsessed Disabled talent could shine.

We don't have TOA Taxis but the London Black Cabs are wheelchair accessible.

So this move to make London's one way streets two way? Found an issue. Looks like all the Blue Badge Parking are being taken out. Used my BB parking guide today & every bay on Gloucester Place has gone. Nice. Discrimination that pushes Disabled people out of the capital.

Having seen these types of doors in other locations without a backup in place, the automatic opening or locking system goes out, the toilet goes out of service. Just a thought from someone who works in this field.
