There's real commitment at the DfT to push for better provision so it may be that there's forward movement, especially as so many dedicated people are pushing for that change.

I love that there's a ground swell of disabled people pushing for better service on public transport. I know how far it haa come since nothing was accessible but it's a long way from being inclusive. Bravo & for leading the way.

Broadcaster, journalist and access consultant said it was “shocking” that a top London tourist attraction like Camden Market was so “unwelcoming and unsafe” for disabled people. Now, the attraction could be facing legal action –

I've been past, wanting to see what great stalls might be in the various markets. But the cobbles at every entrance I could find prevented me even exploring. Couldn't they replace most cobbles with smooth paving, leaving a few patches of cobbles for decorative effect?

The best argument against fascism is its fascism. If people need an economic reason why mass murder & genocide isn't a good thing we're really screwed.

If you focus on economics you've kind of missed the point. The German of the Nazis was built on a lie & mass murder. The key is it's morally bankrupt. So much so that it can be described as evil.

Yes, it's shocking to say 'No one has complained before'. Getting into a market is low down in 'Maslow's heirarchy of complaints' when you are fighting every day for the basic dignities. Please understand this as 'you should have realised , without anyone needing to complain."

Another reason why people don't always complain. They don't even get the chance to enter the market. So they can't complain. They're excluded to ensure their own health & well being. Which is shameful & the ultimate discrimination.

Yep took my son there last year. He uses a power chair. We just kind of stood outside for a moment, realising we didn't stand a chance of getting through it. We then sighed a weary sigh and he took his money elsewhere. We had only travelled from Newcastle..

Which is something I've been saying for a while. It's not just an access problem, it's a safety issue. I met someone who had broken their ankle tripping on the cobbles. Please inform the council. If you do they can't keep claiming no one has raised any issues.

There are almost 14 million disabled people in the UK. But do any well known fashion and clothing brands cater for them? Listen to on Sounds to find out.

So if you have a complaint about access following a visit to send them to the council. To say they've never had any is false because I've made some but if everyone who has ever experienced poor access at the market tells their story maybe we'll get action.

Oh grow up. Most animals are communist as they are a collective run for the good of the pack. But I don't think they have an ideology. They also don't have science medicine or money. So v poor analogy.
