"Before-and-after photos of newly thin bodies have long been an element of fitness marketing, and now Peloton wants to make the case for a before-and-after of the soul. As it turns out, that is a little tougher to telegraph.” is so good

optimistic case for sanders is that he's in sniffing distance of a really impressive run in the early states and the poll today showing him ahead in CA is huge pessimistic case is his support looks thermostatic and includes a lot of low-propensity voters and seniors hate him

one of the hardest things to communicate on twitter is that a) giving (MOAR!) money to babies is good b) it's still bs that "no free health care" is the best explanation for US fertility. just look at the birth rate in ... literally every OECD country with free health care!

there have been a lot of rumors floating around, so i want to address the issue head-on and with brutal honesty. yes, my spotify artist of the decade is coldplay. i will not be taking questions at this time.

fwiw it's very common for journalists to use dramatic language—stunning, incredible—to describe data that doesn't literally stun us or make us incredulous; bc as much as we love experts, we are, above all, signaling the importance of new information to the non-expert masses

not the point but i'm glad we're settling on "zoomer." gen x started way too late in the alphabet to make the "gen-[letter]" thing viable.

but zion didnt play last year so it's a tough comparison. plus luka made the leap. and the lakers are amazing now, so you'd think PST viewership would be at least more stable?

3. high scoring/high variance offenses make a 10-point-4th quarter leads meaningless, so why watch a full game before, say, march? 4. with NFL going 3-days/week in the fall—and with its scarcer, more meaningful games—it requires so much devotion to carve out more sports tv time

4 thoughts on why nba ratings are way down 1. the obvious biggie: young demo is abandoning cable and there's simply too much to watch (see ) 2. with nba podcasts + twitter/espn highlights, it's v easy to follow every nook and cranny of the nba without watching games

Yep. If Twitter had tonal fonts I would write this in a "keep it up, we're getting somewhere!" font rather than a "stop complaining, there's nothing wrong with the economy" font. On wage growth, I believe would argue it's not so odd given low (but rising) LFP
