An analysis by the is offering insight on the impact of Amendment 4 in Florida, finding a huge jump in ex-felons registering to vote in the first three months of 2019. More than 44% of former felons registering between January and March.

Including interest, felons owe more than half a billion dollars in fines in Broward County alone. Add in Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties and the number surpasses a billion. Those big numbers could spell difficulty for felons trying to vote.

Pennsylvania’s absentee-ballot deadlines are unconstitutional. The state’s premature deadline resulted in the rejection of close to 5% of absentee ballots last year. We are in court fighting to ensure that every vote counts.
