I tried to stream once and my poor Macbook Air got red hot. Still trying to fight the current to get rid of my existing simplicity.

The writing is typically unedited and covers random technical topics, but they're things that sometimes are lacking in the documentation department anyway. Content for folks deep in ASTs and theming. Today I was working on a custom compiler:

Lately I've been trying to journal about the things I'm building on a more regular basis. I feel like it's a nice middle ground between "notes" and "posts" that follows the reverse chronological order we're accustomed to in blogs.

It's funny how I never seem to notice the dust and coffee spills that end up on my desk until I finally get around to cleaning it. Then I suddenly feel at peace. 🏖️

I washed down my desk surface just for this photo. That’s all I keep on my desk aside from a notebook (which is in my backpack rn).

If you want to chat next week I’d love to learn more about where you’re getting stuck and how we can improve it!

A really fantastic post by about what lead to theme-ui. A lot of care and thought went into the API that might not be totally apparent at first.

Both sites are currently on ZEIT now so I was hoping for something more platform agnostic haha.

Yeah I’m currently using ZEIT. I’m realizing I could prolly periodically look at the logs to get a “best guess” of the most popular urls tho 🤔

Yeah, I've been noodling the same. I really just need a DynamoDB table and a fetch on the client with path information. But if I can avoid coding it myself, I'll be a happy camper : )

Is there a recommended, privacy-focused analytics tracker for websites (preferably free for an OSS project)? I'd like something where I can see page views to prioritize new content for a docs site without tracking at the per-user level.
