Awesome. So no one is *truly responsible. While one can perhaps, on paper, point and say "the buck stops here", that can easily be spun a variety of ways depending on the context.

Stu is not interested in connecting the two. He is one of the privileged who benefits from this closed, monopolized, discriminatory American system.

From the National Teams to MLS to the media, all the way down. However, there are millions in the US who do have an international caliber soccer culture. The problem is this demographic is discriminated against and filtered out.

Precisely what we’ve been trying to educate, in public, since 2009. But the system here has been architected by the SOFT and for the SOFT.

Good question, Cale. For cupcake CONCACAF, the US can get away with simply selecting adequate players & throwing them on the field. Only stupendous incompetence and off-the-field agendas can compromise this. For global competition, the quality of coaching becomes a big factor.

That's covered in the statement: "if an adequate team is selected".

The Olympic team will have to qualify out of the group with Mexico and Costa Rica. On paper, it sounds tough, but it really isn't. Given the US U23 pool, if an adequate team is selected, qualifying should not be a problem.

A legit coach. While in my country, poor sporting performance is a strong resume builder.
