Banks have 3 functions. Storage, settlement and lending. Bitcoin takes care of #1 and #2, companies like take care of #3. We get away slowly, banks use their money, people use something else. But the eventual point is non govt Decentralized money

I think you misunderstand why they are buying, they are buying for customers, they earn profits from the fees of facilitating these purchases on behalf of their customers.
