Poor portrayal of modern day social work practices on all levels. If only the producers differentiated better between social work 30 years ago when you were able to take your dog to work, made decisions about contact without manager approval etc.

With no disrespect to the new minister it is disappointing to see that the Children's Minister position has apparently been downgraded to Parliamentary Under Secretary from Minister of State- Govt must not let the children's agenda go backwards

None of it is real expect for the part where the front line social worker gets suspended when NO contact decisions in adoption cases are ever made by the social worker alone.

Kiri is a gripping drama but is depicting the role of the social worker utterly wrong, however is spot-on with his the system treats social workers by scapegoating and suspending the front line worker without looking at the role managers play in decision making.
