I'm a rabid Capitals, Nationals, and UVA sports fan, and my wife says I am obsessed with roads and driving.

Is it reasonable to assume these will follow the same HOT rules as the rest of the current Beltway express lanes? Asking only because the term "Express Toll Lanes" usually denotes "all may use, all must pay" (like I-95 north of Baltimore or I-75/I-595 near Miami).

Can’t tell today whether audio dropouts during are due to weather, a DirecTV issue, or the broadcasters censoring things yelled by the gallery! New Yorkers never use profanity.... 🤣

Ten years ago tonight we were at probably the only and E Street Band show at which both “Hava Nagila” and “Hail to the Chief” were performed! 👍

Thanks. I see their profile has a URL. I’ll take a look. Wasn’t sure what the company’s name was!

Just watched your report on the 6:00 news. Do you have a link for water taxi schedule, fares, etc? I’ll probably try the express bus from Springfield and the VRE to see which works better, but investigating all options is just logical.

Virginia, Inner Loop THRU lanes, left lane at merge where LOCAL lanes rejoin, sign down in left lane plus debris. Looks like construction warning sign. Wasn’t slowing traffic at 7:45, but some people slowing to avoid—will slow traffic later if not removed.

Stevenson Avenue in Alexandria—the light outside BJ’s Wholesale Club is flashing yellow for thru traffic and red for people leaving shopping centers. Use caution—people confused, not helped by people who refuse to use their blinkers. Be prepared to stop.

If you take the subway in DC, have an essential app and website. Anyone know of anything comparable for New York?

The better question is why most grocery stores still use a checkout system wherein you unload your cart so an employee can rearrange everything and put it all right back into your cart.

I’m sure someone will say “you’re safest on the train.” But we were at an aboveground platform stuck on a train. “They’ll offload if you pull the release.” They offloaded us anyway! Wonder if it would’ve happened sooner if we had pulled the release!
