SDPD arrested a Sex Offender Fugitive from New York. Dale Dulac fled the state of NY violating his parole. Reports came in that he was in San Diego, Officers got a call and went on foot at the 1500 block of Imperial Av.They recognized Dulac and arrested him peacefully, Great job!

Update: Fletcher Pkwy is back open

This car crashed into a tree on Fletcher Pkwy overnight. Car went up in flames with driver still in side. Good Samaritans did everything they could to try to save the person, but sadly that driver died at the scene. Fletcher Pkwy closed off between Amaya & Navajo.

Someone reported a suspicious device near the school on Harbor and Sigsbee. Perkins Elementary was on lockdown as a precautionary measure. Bomb squad responded- turns out it was a toy squirt gun shaped like a grenade. Everything back to normal.

According to SDG&E the gas was controlled at about 1:30 this morning. Power has been restored, but we’re told 160 people are without natural gas this morning and evacuations are still underway. Approx 60 people displaced but could be back in their homes this morning.
